KE. Research & Consulting is a specialist legal directory, rankings and awards consultancy for law firms and patent & trade mark attorney firms that want to drive revenue growth and strengthen or improve their reputation in the intellectual property (IP) industry.
Founded by Kingsley Egbuonu, former Head of Research at Managing IP, the consultancy provides specialist support with IP rankings and awards submissions, thought leadership, market positioning, PR and legal publisher engagement.
During his time at Managing IP, Kingsley developed the research policies and methodologies behind the IP STARS rankings and the Managing IP Awards. He offers practical, independent advice based on first-hand experience of how ranking and award decisions are made.
Kingsley’s legal publishing experience also includes event production, writing, editing and commissioning thought leadership content. His legal industry qualifications and professional experience give him a rounded understanding of the expectations in IP and the wider legal industry.

More than 11 years as an IP publication insider
I developed Managing IP’s research methodology and processes for the IP STARS rankings and the awards programme. I trained the research teams. I know what gets recognised, how decisions are made and where firms often fall short. I understand how legal ranking and award publishers operate.
Not a generalist consultant
I only deal with IP. I hold an MSc in IP law and have spent more than 15 years in the IP industry. I provide expert judgement and advice to stakeholders in the IP industry.
